Dale Yu
Dale Yu has been involved with boardgaming since the early 1990s, discovering them when he found that he could not afford his Magic: the Gathering habit any longer. Dale has been reviewing games since that time, initially on the fledgling Boardgamegeek, and then later as a regular contributor to BoardgameNews. Since 2011, Dale has been the editor-in-chief of the Opinionated Gamers, an online blog devoted to reviews and commentary of boardgames -www.opinionatedgamers.com. Dale also currently serves as an administrator for Boardgamegeek. Dale has also been active on the design and development side of gaming. He has a number of co-design credits, most notably for Flizz & Miez, a nominee for the 2014 Kinderspiel des Jahres. Other titles include Gib Gas!, Start Frei, and multiple Agricola expansion decks. Development-wise, he is probably best known for his work on Dominion, the 2009 Spiel des Jahres winner. Other games that he has worked on include: Suburbia, Subdivision, Castles of Mad King Ludwig (Bezier Games) as well as extensive work on the solo game for Agricola (Lookout). When not playing games, he works as an Internal Medicine physician. He can often be found on the sidelines at a soccer match or on the couch watching some form of sports (likely soccer or football).
